Pregnancy & Postpartum

Everyone asks about the baby. This is care for you.

The back pain that shows up in the second trimester and doesn’t leave. The exhaustion that a new baby doesn’t exactly help. The recovery that’s supposed to happen on its own timeline, while you’re also caring for someone else entirely. Your OB-GYN or midwife manages your prenatal and postpartum medical care. There is a different way to support the rest of it: treat the physical strain of pregnancy and recovery directly, in coordination with them.

Why prenatal and postpartum care can leave gaps

What’s Happening

A body under real physical strain

Low back and pelvic pain, sciatica, swelling, and fatigue during pregnancy; and after birth, recovery from delivery, disrupted sleep, and the physical demands of caring for a newborn.

How It Feels

Recovering while caring for someone else

The exhaustion nobody warned you would be this specific. The back pain you mention at your appointment and are told is “normal for this stage.” The recovery you’re supposed to be having, somewhere in between feedings.

Why It Matters

“Normal for this stage” doesn’t mean untreatable

“Normal for this stage” is usually true, and it still hurts. Common and treatable aren’t opposites, and you deserve care that acts on that.

What’s often missing

Prenatal and postpartum medical care focuses on monitoring you and your baby’s health, appropriately. What’s often missing is dedicated, hands-on support for the musculoskeletal strain, fatigue, and physical recovery involved, from a provider trained in technique appropriate to pregnancy and postpartum bodies.

Technique that changes with the trimester

Patients come to this clinic throughout pregnancy and in the postpartum period, already under an OB-GYN or midwife’s care, looking for direct support for physical strain, discomfort, and recovery. Treatment is adapted to each trimester and to postpartum recovery.

The clinical logic: The acupuncture, always with technique appropriate to pregnancy, addresses musculoskeletal pain signaling common in later pregnancy. ATP Resonance BioTherapy® supports general recovery and energy postpartum. Treatment plans are adjusted at every stage of pregnancy and recovery.

How we work with your care team

Your OB-GYN or midwife manages all prenatal and postpartum medical care and monitoring; nothing there changes except through them. We adjust every treatment to your stage of pregnancy or recovery, in coordination with them, and this is never a substitute for prenatal or postpartum medical care. No referral is needed.

You’re Not a Case Number

Your protocol, personalized

There’s no fixed number of visits and no generic timeline. Your treatment frequency, therapy mix, and program length are set at your evaluation and adjusted at every visit based on how you’re actually responding.

What shapes your plan

Stage & history

Where you are, a treatment cycle, a trimester, or weeks postpartum, sets your starting approach.

Your response

Visit frequency steps up or down based on your measured progress at each visit, not a preset week count.

Your care team

Your plan is built and adjusted in coordination with your OB-GYN, midwife, or specialist, never around them.

Candidacy comes first: the evaluation determines whether the program fits your case; cost is discussed in person after that.

The Plan

Three steps, starting with the consultation

  1. 1

    $45 initial consultation

Tell us your stage, trimester or weeks postpartum, and what your OB-GYN or midwife knows. We evaluate your case, including whether you’re not a candidate.

  2. 2

    Stage-appropriate protocol

A plan built around your specific trimester or postpartum timeline, adjusted as you progress.

  3. 3

    Support through the whole arc

Less back pain this trimester. More capacity to recover, and to care for your baby, after.

What Supported Feels Like

Care for the body doing the work

A back that lets you sleep on your side.

Recovery treated as something worth tending.

Support that works with your OB-GYN or midwife.

Physical strain during and after pregnancy deserves direct support

Musculoskeletal pain and fatigue during pregnancy and postpartum recovery can affect sleep, mood, and your ability to care for yourself and your baby. Direct support for the physical strain involved, coordinated with your OB-GYN or midwife, is worth pursuing in its own right.
